Lambton College is recruiting a student or recent graduate to support an innovative applied research initiative focused on labour market intelligence, economic development and workforce planning.

This opportunity provides hands-on experience in labour market analysis, economic forecasting, data integration and stakeholder engagement, while contributing to a regional intelligence platform designed to support workforce resilience and long-term economic prosperity.

We’re looking for someone who:
• Is currently enrolled in, or graduated within the past two years from, a Canadian college or university
• Has a background in quantitative analysis, economics, business, data science, policy, planning or a related field
• Has experience or an interest in data interpretation, forecasting, modelling, labour market research and stakeholder engagement
• Can translate data into actionable insights

Canadian citizens, permanent residents and international students are welcome to apply.

⏳ Duration: 6 months, part-time
📍 Location: In-person, hybrid or virtual
💰 Compensation: $25.23 to $37.14/hour + benefits, based on education and experience

Lambton College is pleased to announce the launch of the new Hub for Sustainable Food Innovation (HSFI), expanding opportunities for industry-driven applied research and student innovation in areas including AI for food production, sustainable materials and packaging, automation and process optimization, and food safety and quality.

Supported by a $225,000 donation from RBC Foundation over three years, HSFI will bring together students, researchers and industry partners to tackle real-world challenges, leveraging Lambton’s advanced labs, pilot-scale facilities and applied research expertise.

We were pleased to welcome the RBC team to campus to tour our labs and see firsthand the spaces where students and researchers are turning ideas into real-world solutions. Their visit was a great opportunity to share the impact of their investment and showcase the exciting work happening at Lambton.

We are proud to launch this new hub and grateful to RBC Foundation for investing in the research, talent and collaboration needed to advance a more innovative, sustainable and resilient food sector.
