Help reduce mosquitoes in Saskatoon. 🦟 With more rain comes more standing water and that means more mosquitoes. Even small amounts of water can lead to mosquitoes in just a few days. Take a few minutes to check your yard: dump standing water, clean out gutters, refresh pet bowls and bird baths, and cover rain barrels. A quick check around your yard can go a long way in helping reduce mosquito activity this summer. To learn more, visit https://bit.ly/4ua6Eol.

City of Saskatoon
Review of Residential Parking Program Survey - June/July 2026

Some residential areas in the City of Saskatoon (City) experience on-street parking congestion because they are near popular destinations like commercial areas and/or major institutions. The Residential Parking Program prioritizes resident access to street parking, while recognizing curbside space is an asset that is meant to be shared. Residents may purchase parking permits for their vehicles, allowing them to be exempt from parking time limits.

In fall 2025, the City started to review the Program to address regulatory changes, increasing growth pressures in core neighbourhoods, and to identify other opportunities for improvement. The review includes the examination of other jurisdictions, analysis of trends of infill within the City and a phased approach to public engagement.

The first phase of public engagement was an online survey which was open for a month in October 2025. Results from the survey can be viewed on the project’s Engage page, here: https://www.saskatoon.ca/engage/residential-parking-program-review.

The project team is now moving into the second phase of engagement – which includes this survey and upcoming open houses. The focus of the second phase is to collect feedback and ideas on the proposed changes to the Program.

What is this survey all about?

To test the proposed new approaches for the delivery of the Program, we are asking you a series of questions related to three key subject areas:

1) Proposed Pricing of Permits and Parking Permit Eligibility
2) Creation of Parking Zones/Proposed Parking Restriction Process/Parking Generators
3) Proposed Administrative Changes

The survey is open to July 2, 2026
