U of S Aero Design Team Design. Build. Fly. Compete. We are the U of S Aero Design Team. Our student group is filled with members from all across the university and always accepting more!

The U of S Aero Design Team was first established in 1988 by engineers from across the college who were interested in the design of airplanes and the mysteries of flight. At their first competition they placed fourth. At their second competition they placed second. At the competition in 1990 they placed first and set a new world record for the largest R/C airborne weight of 30.5 pounds. After a hi

atus of a number of years, the team reformed in 2014 and has competed every year since. The best competition placement since the reforming of the team was in 2019 where we placed 7th.
