Opening Monday! We assist with resumes, reports, creative writing, review papers, discussion posts, and scholarship applications, among other types of writing.

At any stage of the writing process, tutors can help you to

✔️clarify your goals,

✔️Improve your organization and writing style,

✔️learn how to outline, draft, and revise your work,

✔️understand and practice academic writing conventions, and

✔️understand the rules of grammar, sentence structure, and punctuation.

✔️navigate AI use in the writing process

Access tutoring in one of two ways:

1. Schedule an appointment with a writing tutor either in-person (Murray Library, room 142) or online via Zoom. TIP!: Click the "I" Icon when booking to read the tutors' bios and select the best match for your writing needs.

2. Submit your work online. A tutor will give feedback within 12 to 24 hours. If you need it sooner, please note that in the comments.

Students are welcome to use the Writing Centre during the Murray Library's regular hours. Drop-in tutoring is unavailable until September, but tutors may assist if they are free between appointments.

Featuring Writing Centre Tutors at the University Library in Celebration of Black History Month!

Lucy is a graduate student in the Department of English, and helps students in the Writing Centre weekly, and supports various Library projects, including the upcoming Black History Month Trivia contest on February 24. Lucy writes,

"Black History Month is a period of reflection on the enduring legacy of the Black race, stooping to the lowest, rising like a phoenix, and conquering all limitations. It is the month I pride myself on being a symbol of resilience and uniqueness."

Are you an undergraduate or graduate student at the University of Saskatchewan? You can access ✏️free✏️ writing help from the USask Library year-round:

🗓️Appointment booking has resumed! You can meet with a writing tutor online or in-person.

✉️ Email help is available any time.

👥 Help is available seven days a week in Murray Library room 142. You can use our centre to get your writing done anytime the library is open. Drop in, or book an appointment for guaranteed support.
