STAR - Algoma University Transition Program

STAR - Algoma University Transition Program Who is STAR for? Students are invited to stay in residence, at no charge to them, to participate in the total university experience. Where is STAR? Marie.

All meals and social events are also included in the program. STAR is for the students who meet the following criteria:
•Recent Algoma District high school graduate
•Will be attending an Ontario university in September 2011


When is STAR? STAR will take place July 6, 7 and 8, 2011. Tuesday, July 5 – 5:30pm: moving into residence and a welcome BBQ
Friday, July 8 - 6:00pm: moving out of residence

Each day of the program will run from 9:00am – 4:00pm. All events will take place on the campus of Algoma U, in Sault Ste. Evening social events will be held on- and off-campus. Tentative Schedule

Friday July 8

•Studying/Test Taking

•Mock University Lecture
•How to budget your money
•Getting involved on campus
•AT: Dragon and Alphasmarts

Social events will be based on interests, needs and abilities of participants
