🎓 Miigwech, and congratulations to our seven 2026 Personal Support Worker graduates! 🎓

Today, we gathered at Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig to honour and celebrate seven graduates as they reached an important milestone in their journey.

Each of you has walked your own path to get here — carrying your knowledge, your experiences, your strength, and the support of your families, friends, classmates, and community along the way.

As Personal Support Workers, you are entering a profession rooted in care, compassion, respect, and service to others. The knowledge you carry forward is more than what you have learned in the classroom. It is also found in the relationships you build, the kindness you show, and the way you care for the people around you.

Miigwech for choosing this path and for the dedication you have shown throughout your studies. We are grateful to have witnessed your growth and to have shared in this part of your journey.

As you move forward, may you continue to walk in a good way, guided by mino-bimaadiziwin — living a good life — and zaagi'idiwin — love and kindness.

May the path ahead bring you strength, purpose, and many opportunities to give back to your families and communities.

To our seven graduates:
You did it!

We are incredibly proud of you and look forward to seeing where your journey takes you.

🌿 Baamaapi — until we meet again. 🌿

Congratulations, graduates! Miigwech for letting us celebrate this beautiful moment with you.

Introducing the Indigenous Post-Secondary Education Network!

Formerly known as APSIP, the Indigenous Post-Secondary Education Network is a collective of Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) representatives from colleges, universities, polytechnics, and Indigenous learning institutes who work together to strengthen pathways and support Indigenous learners in accessing and succeeding in post-secondary education.

Our new name reflects who we are today: a collaborative network grounded in relationships, reciprocity, and shared learning.

Through The Network, we’ll continue to:
• Support Indigenous learners in exploring post-secondary opportunities
• Strengthen relationships between communities and institutions
• Share resources, events, and pathways to education
• Celebrate Indigenous student success

Follow along as we share opportunities, celebrate Indigenous student success, and continue building stronger pathways to post-secondary education.

Mino Anishinaabek Giizhigad, Happy Indigenous Peoples Day from Shingwauk Kinoomaage Gamig! 🪶

Today invites us to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the land, with one another, and with the stories that continue to shape Indigenous Nations across Turtle Island.

We honour and uplift the strength, beauty, and resilience of Indigenous Peoples, celebrating the richness of our cultures, languages, and teachings that guide us every day. As Anishinaabe people, we hold deep knowledge, living traditions, and a sacred relationship with Aki (Mother Earth).

This day also coincides with the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year, when the Sun is at its peak and the Earth is alive with growth and energy. It is a powerful time of renewal, gratitude, and celebration, a moment to recognize the fullness of life and the seeds that have come into bloom. 🌞🌻

For generations, this has been a time to gather, give thanks, and strengthen our connection to the land and to each other. May we carry that spirit forward today and every day. 🌎
