Emergency Services Academy Ltd. ESA has expert trainers from within the emergency services industry. Our EMS and Fire instructors provide up-to-date real-world experience.

Training is in a simulated work environment which immerses students in realistic situations. Emergency Services Academy Ltd. ("ESA") is a private career college located in Sherwood Park, close to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada which provides professional fire fighter training and emergency medical training. Our three core vocational education programs are Professional Fire Fighter, Emergency Medical Re

sponder (EMR)and Primary Care Paramedic (PCP). ESA programs are fully accredited. Our firefighter graduates work in rural and urban areas throughout Canada, and our EMR and PCP grads are an important part of paramedical care.

Ever wondered what it takes to become a firefighter?
Camp Inspire is a free, hands on experience designed to introduce women and gender diverse individuals to the fire service. Participants will learn from experienced firefighters, develop practical skills, build confidence, and experience many of the challenges and rewards that come with a career in emergency services.
From fire ground activities and rescue scenarios to mentorship and teamwork, Camp Inspire provides an opportunity to explore a career in the fire service in a supportive and encouraging environment.
If you've ever considered a career in firefighting, this is your chance to step outside your comfort zone, challenge yourself, and see what's possible.
Applications are now open. June 1- June 30
This year’s Camp Inspire runs September 11-13, 2026.

What an incredible journey it has been!

As this amazing group of EMR students completes the final days of their program, we want to recognize their hard work, dedication, resilience, and commitment to serving their communities. It has truly been an honour for ESA to be part of their journey toward becoming birth workers.

We are especially grateful to collaborate with the Kihew Awâsis Wakamik Cultural Society. A community organization of Indigenous birth workers, midwives, knowledge keepers, aunties, and grandmothers. Thank you for your trust, partnership, and shared vision throughout this program.

We are so proud of each and every student and look forward to seeing all the incredible things ahead for them.
