Esthetics education goes far beyond learning facial steps, it’s about so much more like understanding the products, ingredients, and client experience & touch that bring a treatment to life.
For this facial training course, our students had the opportunity to work with Eve Taylor London, a professional skincare line known for its aromatherapy focused approach to skin health. With essential oils thoughtfully incorporated throughout the line, students in my class were able to experience how sensory elements can play an important role in creating a calming, intentional treatment environment.
To make the learning even richer, students also had the opportunity to learn from professional aromatherapist Trish Green, gaining firsthand insight into the role aromatherapy ingredients can play in treatments for the skin & how to use them in their professional esthetics practice.
For me personally, this was a lovely full-circle moment. Eve Taylor was one of the very first professional lines I brought into The Beauty Barn Spa, chosen in part because it aligned with the oncology esthetics training I had completed at the time. Revisiting the line in an educational setting has been a meaningful reminder of where parts of my own professional journey began for me and now for them.
There’s something special about introducing students to respected professional brands while helping them build the knowledge to make thoughtful and educated treatment choices in the future. 🤍🧖🏽♀️
