The re-scheduled information sessions for the Dietetics programme will now occur on Monday October 19 10:30 - noon, repeated on Tuesday October 20 between 10 and 11:30. There will also be a drop-in session for anyone interested who cannot make either of the Information sessions on Monday October 20 between 2:30 and 4. All sessions will be held in CSF 2205.

Our Memorial University - Physics and Physical Oceanography department has launched the Co-operative Internship in Physics!

The goal is to connect students with local, national and potentially international employers – building on the successes of existing Faculty of Science co-operative education programs and engaging community partners in student learning.

Congratulations to Farzana Rahman, who is receiving her masters in Data Science today!

During the course-based program, Ms. Rahman accepted a software developer internship with the Centre for Analytics, Informatics and Research (CAIR), and worked with clients like the Port of Argentia and Research Initiatives and Services to develop tools to improve their workflows.

A Memorial palaeobiology graduate student has discovered a new fossil species in Ediacaran-aged rocks from Newfoundland, dated to 551 million years old.

Heléna Muirhead-Hunt found the new fossils at the Inner Meadow site in Upper Island Cove, N.L., known for exceptional preservation of soft-bodied organisms without shells or bones.
