This is to welcome returning and new students of the Faculty of Education to the Fall Semester and 2026/2027 Session. The Racialized Graduate Students Collective is hosting this welcome jollof party to share the gift of food and to launch another season of care, friendship and community among the diverse peoples of the Faculty of Education and Memorial University. The event would feature food, drinks, music, stories and sharing of cultural knowledge.

Deadline Extended: Legacy of Leadership Award Nominations

The MUN Faculty of Education mourns the passing of Dr. Dennis Mulcahy.

Dr. Mulcahy served the Faculty of Education as a Professor and faculty member for over 35 years. He was known locally and internationally as a passionate advocate for small and rural schools, who dedicated his career to advancing access to high-quality education.

Dr. Mulcahy will be remembered for his many invaluable contributions to the Faculty of Education at Memorial University, and to the field of education as a whole.

The MUN Faculty of Education is proud to have named 57 students to the Dean’s List for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Being named to the Dean’s List at Memorial University is a significant academic distinction which recognizes undergraduate students with the highest academic averages in their respective units.

Ready to write in community, not isolation?

SheWrites Circle is a weekly space for graduate students who self-identify as women. It offers a friendly and supportive space where graduate students can discuss academic writing issues, share their writings, and receive and give constructive peer feedback. We gather Fridays and Saturdays at 5 p.m. (NL Time) to write, rest, and reconnect with our voices.

Session 1 - August 7: Reintroducing SheWrites Circle.
We’ll introduce ourselves, speak about the history of the programme, and share experiences.
Guest Speakers: Iroda Abdunazarova, Baharehsadat Razavian, and Faith Kinyua.
Host: Mariia Martyshina.

Session 2 – August 8: Finding Literature for Review in Academic Writing.
We’ll discuss the problem of looking for appropriate literature resources for your academic work, share experiences, and have some writing practice!
