National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

Please note that WCC campuses will be closed on Wednesday, September 30, to recognize National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We invite our students, staff, and faculty to use this day as an opportunity to pause, listen, and deepen our understanding of Indigenous histories, cultures, and lived experiences.

Reconciliation is an ongoing journey that calls on all of us to learn from the past and consider how we can contribute to positive change. We encourage our WCC community to honor this day through reflection, education, and meaningful action in support of Indigenous peoples and communities.

Learning to work in pharmacy takes more than classroom lessons.

For Gurleen Kaur Kang, hands-on experience and guidance along the way made a difference.

As a Pharmacy Assistant student at WCC, Gurleen practised her skills in settings designed to prepare her for the workplace. Instructors and staff also helped her with her courses, documentation, and student loans, making the experience easier to navigate.

Hear Gurleen Kaur share what her time at WCC has been like and how she’s preparing for what comes next.

New faces, new connections and the start of an exciting journey at WCC!

This Friday, we welcomed more than 70 students during our Fall 2026 Orientation. It was a great morning for students to meet their classmates, connect with the WCC leadership team and learn more about the departments, procedures and resources that will support them throughout their studies.

We also made time for some fun, with group activities, a quiz and prizes to help everyone get to know each other and feel more comfortable on their first day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning special. To our new students, welcome to WCC! We’re so happy you’re here and can’t wait to see what you accomplish.
