We are the Software Systems Student Society, also known as the SSSS. This student society represents the interests and welfare of its members to the Software System Program and to Simon Fraser University, Surrey, Canada. The SSSS is located in the fourth galleria of the SFU Surrey campus.

🗳️ The nominations are in for the 2023/2024 Executive team spring election!

New executives are elected for one-year terms, ending in April 2023. Open the SFU WebSurvey link, read the nominations carefully, and select your preferred candidate.

- Carefully read each candidate's self-nomination statements in the WebSurvey.
- A "Vote of no confidence" may be selected when you have insufficient confidence in the candidate(s)

- All students who are registered in the undergraduate program of Software Systems.
- All students who are currently enrolled in a CMPT course part of the Software Systems program.

- All students who are registered in the undergraduate program of Software Systems

You will work in a diverse and constantly changing environment, striving to serve the best interests of Software Systems Students. This is your chance to represent Software Systems!

Get ready to plant your programming roots with SystemsHacks 2023: RootHacks! The Software System Student Society’s 7th annual beginner-oriented hackathon, happening in-person @ SFU Surrey, SRYE on Saturday March 4th, 2023.

During RootHacks, you’ll learn new skills, strengthen bonds with your team, and make a cool project in our 12-hour hackathon. 🤩💻

What’s the theme of RootHacks? Well, every SystemsHacks we strived to cultivate an environment where new hackers can hack alongside other beginners. To emphasize that with RootHacks, we wanted to give hackers free rein on what their project could be, whether it being going back to basics or branching out in new directions, and with all the interpretations of roots you can decide which path to take! 🌱🌳
