Some things are out of your control, and that's okay. 💚
College life can be unpredictable, but focusing on what you can control makes all the difference. Take it one day at a time, celebrate the small wins and remember to take a coffee break along the way. ☕️

🦷 Our third-year Dental Hygiene students had the opportunity to volunteer alongside the dental team from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and local specialists Dr. Vukovich and Dr. Gareh.

The team travelled from Toronto to Thunder Bay to assess clients through the Ontario Cleft Lip and Palate/Craniofacial Dental Program, which provides financial assistance for specialized dental care. During their visit, the team helped develop treatment plans, provide referrals to local specialists and determine eligibility for new clients.

Holland Bloorview and its team play an important role in supporting clients and families across Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario.

It was a valuable hands-on learning experience for our students, giving them the chance to learn from experienced specialists while contributing to an important service in our community. Thank you to everyone involved! 💙

We can't wait to see students discover new interests, build confidence and explore what's possible! 💪

👻 Things we’re ghosting this Semester...

Skipping class, last-minute assignments, ignoring College emails and surviving on caffeine alone. 💀☕

Some habits are better left in the past.

What bad college habit are YOU ghosting this semester? 👀👇

Today, our Confederation College community gathered for a flag raising in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. 🧡

Throughout September, students and employees have also taken part in activities and opportunities to learn, reflect and honour Residential School Survivors, their families and communities, and remember the children who never returned home.

As we share moments from today and throughout the month, we recognize that Truth and Reconciliation extends beyond one day. We all have a role in continuing to listen, learn and move forward together.
