Canine Cognition Lab at the University of Toronto We are a research group at the University of Toronto's Department of Psychology that explores dogs' learning and reasoning abilities.

Our Canine Cognition Lab explores dogs’ learning and reasoning abilities. We investigate this by presenting dogs with short, interactive games that are designed to be fun and engaging. For example, in our tasks dogs might need to figure out how to get a treat out of a puzzle, follow information from a human, or search for hidden treats. We record dogs’ actions when interacting with people, toys an

d puzzles, and the choices they make, to learn more about how our canine companions’ minds work. We are based at University of Toronto's St. George campus and conduct our studies throughout the GTA. All dog breeds and mixes are welcome to participate in our research! To be eligible to participate, your dog must:
1. be up to date on rabies vaccinations
2. be generally healthy at the time of participation
3. not have a record of aggression towards humans
4. be at least 1 year of age at the time of participation
