This Friday, September 30th is National Truth and Reconciliation day. Show your support and solidarity by wearing an orange shirt to honour and uphold the intergenerational survivors and countless victims of the Canadian Residential School System.

Education and awareness about the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process.

PAIH has compiled a list of free resources that focus on Indigenous history, experiences, reconciliation and cultural competency. We hope these resources can guide pharmacy students in their approach to pharmacy care in Indigenous populations.

PAIH is recruiting executive positions for the 2022-2023 academic year. For more detailed explanation of the positions, please refer to the application form 🤗.

PAIH aims to bring awareness to the healthcare barriers faced by Indigenous communities. We strive to improve pharmacy's Indigenous cultural competency and increase Indigenous representation in our profession. Our club attends and promotes local Indigenous cultural events that provide pharmacy students with the opportunity to better understand Indigenous perspectives. Our executive team further host educational health workshops for Indigenous clients of the Native Canadian Centre and the Native Child and Family Services of Toronto.

Check out the infographic to learn about a project done in BC to help improve the health outcomes of Indigenous individuals using multiple medications.
