Invest in YOU: Financial Literacy & TD Networking Event

Most students graduate knowing how to write a midterm but not how to build a budget, grow their savings, or make their first investment. Let's fix that.

Join TD Direct Investing for a high-impact workshop designed for real student life. We'll break down how to manage your money with confidence, even if you're starting with just a few dollars.

What's happening:

Workshop (4 pm - 5 pm): Practical, useful strategies for budgeting, saving, and getting started with investing.

Networking Session (5 pm - 6 pm ): Connect with TD professionals from across the organization to ask questions and explore different career paths in a variety of fields.

(Yes, food will be provided.)

Honoring the survivors. Remembering those lost. Committing to action. 🟠

On Wednesday at George Brown Polytechnic, our St. James Campus glowed orange as we came together to reflect on the lasting impacts of the residential school system and honor the survivors. From storytelling circles to shared meals, the strength and resilience of our Indigenous community shone brightly.

A heartfelt thank you to GBP Indigenous and everyone who made yesterday's Truth and Reconciliation Day celebrations so meaningful; whether you wore your shirt, joined an event, or simply took time to listen and learn.

We see you. We hear you. We stand with you.

Let’s carry this spirit of learning, connection, and reconciliation forward, every day.

As we approach the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, this Monday is an opportunity to remember that education isn't only about preparing for our own futures. It's also about understanding our shared past and recognizing our responsibility to one another.

Autumn Peltier is an internationally recognized Anishinaabe indigenous rights advocate and environmental activist from the Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. Widely known as the "Water Walker" or a "water protector," she has spent over half her life fighting for clean drinking water in Indigenous communities across Canada and advocating for global water conservation. Since 2019, she has served as the Chief Water Commissioner for the Anishinabek Nation, representing 40 First Nations
