United for Literacy / Littératie Ensemble

United for Literacy / Littératie Ensemble Formerly Frontier College, we’re the national registered charity dedicated to improving the lives of children, youth, and adults through literacy.

Frontier College @ UTSC is a student organization that offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the Scarborough community. Our partnerships include women's shelters, co-op housing units, rec centres, and elementary schools.

Frontier College at UTSC is run by an Organizing Team of twelve UTSC undergraduate students who are passionate about education, literacy, teaching, and

having fun. We run seven programs around Scarborough with elementary and middle school aged children that promote literacy education within vulnerable communities. We host our programs in classrooms and after school as well as in co-op housing and also women's shelters:

- Dr. Roz's Healing Place
- Alexander Stirling Public School
- Grey Owl Junior Public School
- Juliette's Place
- Scarborough Village ANC
- Mornelle Court
