As we spend more time together indoors, it's important to take steps to protect our health. Staying up to date on recommended vaccines can help reduce the risk of serious illness during respiratory virus season.

Talk to your health care provider or local public health authority about the vaccines recommended for you.

West Scarborough Community Centre has informed Disrict 24 that they are incredibly grateful to share that Entente Education Canada’s District 24 Scarborough and East York has awarded a $4,000 grant to bring the Silver Strokes creative workshops program to our Centre! Through Silver Strokes, seniors come together for hands-on creative sessions in painting, macramé, card-making, rug-hooking, and more, with a public exhibition to showcase their work at the end of the program.

On September 17, New Retirees and D24 members enjoyed a Welcome to Retirement Brunch at Qssis Banquet Hall in Scarborough. As participants enjoyed a full breakfast, executive and committee chairs had the opportunity to introduce the many activities that District 24 provides for our members. Thank you, Alan, for taking the photos.
