We’re a few months into the school year, the days are getting shorter and colder, and the pressures of grad school can start to feel a little heavy.

Between coursework, research, deadlines, and the responsibilities of everyday life, it’s completely normal to feel overwhelmed at times.

Remember:
✨ It’s okay to ask for help.
✨ It’s okay to take a break.
✨ You don’t have to navigate everything alone.

OISE and U of T offer a variety of resources to support your mental health and well-being. Take a moment to check in with yourself, reach out when you need support, and remember that your well-being is just as important as your academic success.

Introducing your Student Ambassador for the Fall 2026/Winter 2027 academic term.

Hi everyone! I’m Khushi, a first-year Master of Education (MEd) student in Developmental Psychology and Education at OISE. My academic interests centre around child development, developmental research, and child-centred interventions and programs. I’m especially passionate about understanding how we can create supportive environments that help children learn, grow, and thrive. And if you ever see me around kids, you’ll notice that I’m happiest around them!

As your ambassador, I hope to connect with students, share my experiences, help prospective students learn more about OISE, and support both current and future students through their academic journey.

I’m looking forward to meeting you, hearing about your interests, and making your time at OISE a little more connected, welcoming, and memorable!

The wildfires causing smoky skies in Toronto have also devastated First Nations communities in Northwestern Ontario. More than a dozen communities have been evacuated, and some have been completely destroyed.

The OISE Library in partnership with the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto is collecting new and unused:
• Clothing
• Blankets
• Toiletries & hygiene products
• Baby supplies
• Non-perishable food

Donations are being accepted until Thursday, July 23 at the OISE Library. Donations can also be dropped off directly at the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto (16 Spadina Road).

Thank you for helping support communities affected by the wildfires.
