📢 We are pleased to announce the appointment of the Honourable Bob Rae as Power Corporation Fellow 2026–2027 at the Glendon School of Public and International Affairs.
A distinguished public servant, diplomat, lawyer and author, Mr. Rae brings more than five decades of experience in public policy and international affairs. He has served as Premier of Ontario, interim Leader of the Liberal Party of Canada, and Canada’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, where he also served as President of the Economic and Social Council.
During his time at the UN, Mr. Rae welcomed Glendon students visiting the organization and shared his perspectives with them. As Power Corporation Fellow, he will continue this engagement, sharing his experience and insights with our students and engaging with them on the complex public policy and global affairs challenges shaping our world.
Mr. Rae has also edited Reclaiming Canadian Sovereignty in a Ruptured World, published by Lorimer in September 2026, offering timely perspectives on Canada’s place in an increasingly unsettled international landscape.

📢 Nous sommes heureux d’annoncer la nomination de l’honorable Bob Rae à titre de chercheur associé Power Corporation 2026-2027 à l’École des affaires publiques et internationales de Glendon.
Figure éminente de la fonction publique, de la diplomatie, du droit et du milieu littéraire, M. Rae possède plus de cinq décennies d’expérience en politiques publiques et en affaires internationales. Il a été premier ministre de l’Ontario, chef intérimaire du Parti libéral du Canada et ambassadeur et représentant permanent du Canada auprès des Nations Unies, où il a également présidé le Conseil économique et social.
Durant son mandat à l’ONU, M. Rae a accueilli des étudiantes et étudiants de Glendon en visite et partagé son point de vue avec eux. Il poursuivra cet engagement à titre de chercheur associé, en partageant son expérience et ses réflexions avec nos étudiantes et étudiants et en échangeant sur les enjeux complexes qui façonnent notre monde.
M. Rae a également dirigé la publication de Reclaiming Canadian Sovereignty in a Ruptured World, paru chez Lorimer en septembre 2026, qui apporte une contribution d’actualité aux réflexions sur la place du Canada dans un contexte international de plus en plus instable.
