Insider's Tour: ESCAPE HUMBER 🚀✨

Follow Theater Production student Nik Geddes to see behind the scenes of her team creating Humber’s one-of-a-kind space-themed escape room. This immersive experience brought together students from Theater Production, Web Development, and Multimedia Design & Development in an exciting cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The response was incredible. Every spot was fully booked a week before Doors Open, and participants were completely immersed in the challenges, storytelling, and sensory experience.

Projects like this give students the opportunity to collaborate across industries, build real-world skills, and create unforgettable experiences. Stay tuned for more innovative projects and events from the Faculty of Media, Creative Arts & Design 🎭🌌

ESCAPE HUMBER
🚀 A space-themed escape room built entirely by Humber students and faculty.
[Open for Doors Open Toronto — May 23]

What began as an idea between faculty and students across the Theatre Production, Web Development and Multimedia Design & Development programs has evolved into an immersive spaceship experience powered by interactive systems, reactive lighting, AI integration, and realistic sound and spatial design.

This project is one example of how students are experiencing learning through worldbuilding, experimentation, storytelling, systems thinking, and collaboration between disciplines that don’t usually share the same space.

🗓️ The mission may already be fully booked for Doors Open Toronto on May 23, but this is only the beginning of the project.

Follow along as we share behind-the-scenes looks into how the ship was built, the technology powering it, and the students and faculty bringing the space shuttle to life. 👁️
