To wrap up out Meet the Exec series, join us in welcoming our Social Media Coordinator, Ricardo (he/him)!

“ Hi! My name is Ricardo and I’m the Social Media Coordinator for EEBU this year. I’m a 3rd year student majoring in EEB and Art History. I really enjoy comparing the anatomy of different species and relating them with their evolutionary history. That’s why some of my favorite organisms are bats! Just take a look at their wing-hands! I’m looking forward to making awesome social media designs this year! ”

Next in the spotlight is our Webmaster, Oliver (he/him)!

“ Heya! I’m Oliver, a fourth-year Health & Disease + EEB student and one of your EEBU execs this year. Outside of school, I’m usually swimming or hanging out with my guinea pig. Excited to meet everyone and have a great year! ”

Give a warm welcome to our Department Coordinator, Lilith (she/her)!

“ I am a 4th Year EEB spec whose main interests (currently) lie in the relationships between morphology, community structure, species interactions, and ecological function. I would love to study fish but I am open to anything marine or aquatic. My hobbies include cooking, baking, music, and being in the great outdoors. My favourite spots on campus are Ned’s Café and the GSU Pub, so if you’ve been there, odds are you’ve seen me, and if not, odds are you will! :) ”

Say hi our other Social Director, Nadia (she/her)!

“ Hello!! My name is Nadia (she/her), and I am now in my fourth year as a double major in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Health & Disease (weird, I know), with a minor in Psychology! Some of my interests are vertebrate macroevolution and microbial ecology. I ultimately hope to apply a holistic view to my research, where I can effectively study natural mechanisms and their evolution and apply that knowledge to human diseases! (See? the major combo doesn’t sound as weird now). I’ve spent a good portion of my summer at the Algonquin wildlife research station studying painted turtles as part of the Reptiles REP!! (You can drop by the research fair on September 24th if you’d like to hear me yap about it!) I’m also currently working at the Krkosek lab doing some DNA work!
Outside of school, you’ll probably either find me horseback riding, listening to Pitbull, or partying! Please feel free to reach out, I’m so excited to meet everyone and hang out this year! We’ll hopefully have a ton of cool events so stay tuned! ”
