Did you know that Canada’s working-age population has been decreasing? Or that, in comparison, the number of adults aged 65 and older is increasing?

In October, the Office of Research & Innovation (ORI) hosted a public talk by Bradley Schurman to get a conversation started about the steady demographic changes that countries around the world are facing. These changes will have far-reaching consequences for economies on personal, professional and societal levels that we must be prepared for.

Humber faculty (full and part-time), staff, and students are invited to participate in Humber’s Aging in Community Education and Research Hub (ACER) Community of Interest.

The Community of Interest (CI) offers an informal, virtual platform for the Humber community to connect and engage in conversations about their shared interest in topics related to aging. This virtual 'brown bag' lunch conversation will revolve around subjects that matter to participants, such as articles they would like to discuss, upcoming events, potential research projects, and the sharing of research results. The community gets together monthly on the third Thursday of the month from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m.

Visit https://www.agingincommunity.ca/get-involved to join the email list and register for the CI.
