Hey GH fam! 🌎🏥

The Global Health Student’s Association is your OFFICIAL student club for your time here at YorkU! As a Global Health student, you are represented by GHSA. We offer academic services such as peer tutoring and peer mentoring and also host a ton of fun events where you can make new friends!

Whether you are an incoming or existing GH student, feel free to log in and mingle with others in your program, meet our new executive team, as well as your Global Health community at York! The afternoon will consist of games, music, and fun! Please make sure to RSVP and we’re excited to see you soon!

“Hello, my name is Ayomide Ajibade, and I’m a GHSA Ambassador for the 2021-2022 school year. I’m going into my third year of the Global Health program with a specialization in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. I began my journey in GHSA as a peer mentor in my second year and decided not to leave this club. Meherab Mashud

“Beginning this fall, I will be sitting as the Undergraduate Student Representative for the School of Global Health Council (SGH) at GHSA. My role will be to act as a liaison between the undergraduate student body and SGH in contributing student perspectives and equity to the council. In my final year of studies, I am determined to build from the many connections I have made leading student organizations and faculties across campus. Joining GHSA is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with my peers and I hope to use this platform to creatively serve our ever-growing Global Health program. My name is Meherab Al Mashud, and I am blessed to be part of such a diverse network of leaders at GHSA.”

“Hi everyone! My name is Sheila Noriega and I will be your VP of Academics this year. I am going into my 4th year of Global Health with a specialization in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. This is my second year with the GHSA and I'm excited to continue working with such a diverse and passionate group of individuals. Thivani Parameswaran

“Hey everyone! My name is Thivani and I’m one of your VP of Operations for this year. I’m in my fourth year of Global Health, specializing in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. I joined GHSA at the start of my second year to become involved on campus and have made such great memories since then. This club has allowed me to develop and strengthen a variety of skills, while connecting with individuals within and outside of York’s community. Global Health may be a smaller program than others, but it’s a great program filled with passionate and hardworking individuals. As a member of GHSA, my mission has always been to help create a supportive space for Global Health students, and so I look forward to working with my team to provide you all with amazing opportunities and services that can support your journey at York University!”

I joined GHSA to become closer to our program and help implement services & programs that help GH students with their careers, skill development, and personal & professional networks. GHSA helped me develop as a leader and create life-long connections, and my mission is to create a space that allows you to do the same. “Hey everyone! My name’s Asma and I’m so excited to be the Executive Vice President of this year’s team!
