Each year, the International Studies Symposium, an end-of-year conference organized by 8 upper year students, is held to shed light on a specific nation through an interdisciplinary approach, engaging its history, politics, economics, history, and culture.
This year, our Symposium team has fixed the spotlight on the Kingdom of Thailand - the first ever Southeast Asian country to be chosen for this project. This dynamic nation was chosen because of its rich and vibrant culture, its complex history with colonialism, its unique socio-political, gender, and religious structures, and its current political and economic landscape, providing us with many exciting issues to explore in further depth.
Our sincerest thank-you to all those who helped make this event possible!
