Maheshi stepped into the industry with a fresh perspective and a goal of prioritizing culture, mindful consumption and ethical production. Today, her brand, Musey, empowers artisan heritage and shares sustainable practices.

Through initiatives like "Runway Repurpose," Musey partners with students, makers, and community members to explore sustainability through workshops and redesign projects. From showcasing Sri Lankan crafts to hosting a Sustainable Fashion Week, Maheshi is redefining what it means to be a modern fashion founder.
