Hart House Student Art Committee This is the official page of the Hart House Student Art Committee at the University of Toronto.

Founded in 1922, the Hart House Student Art Committee aims to provide its members with a sense of community and invaluable professional experience within the many facets of the art field. Join contemporary art enthusiasts in curating the walls and halls of Hart House, attending studio visits of Toronto's foremost artists, partaking in trips to prominent local galleries, taking part in the acquisition of new work for the House (alongside the Art Museum at the University of Toronto), and planning educational programming and activities. Join us for our 2nd general meeting this Friday! Whether you are an artist, arts enthusiast, or simply curious about the committee’s work, all students are welcome.
No previous experience is required. Come connect with a community of students who are passionate about art, creativity, and cultural engagement on campus.
Free and open to all University of Toronto students.

Join us for a hands-on cyanotype workshop exploring the process behind this historic photographic printing technique! Participants will learn how cyanotypes are made, from mixing and applying the solution to exposing prints in sunlight, before creating their own prints using pre-prepared cyanotype paper. Using plants and other found materials, participants will then bring their prints together to create an eight-page zine.
Please bring a few small, fairly flat objects that hold personal significance for you, such as:
Jewelry or keys
Lace or mesh
Pressed flowers or leaves
Feathers
Paper cutouts
