Last week, OFL President Laura Walton addressed the 69th annual Provincial Building and Construction Trades Council of Ontario convention to discuss WSIB, protecting the public services we all depend on, and advancing our shared goal of amending the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act to modernize the occupational disease compensation system.

They are fighting for:

* 6 paid sick days
* WSIB
* A pension to retire with dignity

Contracts can be negotiated - the right to strike can not✊

Bill C-39 would give Ottawa the power to step in to shut down a legal strike or force a deal, shifting power from the people for corporate profit.

Our Secretary-Treasurer Ahmad Gaied and Executive Vice-President Michael Hamilton joined workers at the Toronto Day of Action to protect our right to strike.
