School of Biological Sciences and Applied Chemistry Our school is within the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering Technology at Seneca College.

Our laboratory facilities are located at the Seneca @ York Campus, and we have been providing training in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biological sciences for more than 35 years. Our graduates are placed all over the world; we are proud of our programs and our graduates, and are committed to providing current and relevant curriculum to our students. We seek input from our advisory committees,

comprised of professionals in the biotechnology, chemical technology, and pharmaceutical industries. Our student body is diverse and their goals echo this diversity. Many of our graduates seek employment immediately upon graduation, while others choose to pursue a university degree.

There will be both a lab and lecture Exam Review Bootcamp for 1st and 2nd semester students. The Bootcamp will take place on Tuesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 2 in room S3031 from 9:30am to 3pm.

This is a chance for students who may have fallen behind to get help in any biology, chemistry or math lecture or lab topics.

The Bootcamp will have faculty for Biology, Math and Chemistry, available for help, as well as the help of tutors from the Learning Centre.

Two orientation sessions have been scheduled for semester 2 students, interested in applying for the CLPC or CHYC programs.

Date: Friday, July 17th, 2015
Times: 9:50-10:40 OR 11:40-12:30
Room: S1209 (Lower Kaleidoscope)

Attendance to one of these sessions is mandatory. If both of the orientations conflict with your current timetable, please see Zahra Hirji by July 14th in room S3033B (with a copy of your timetable) to make alternate arrangements.

Note: Students interested in applying for the BTA co-op stream will have an orientation scheduled in the fall.

The Fall Semester starts on Tuesday Sept. 2, with the orientation session Experience Seneca. Classes will start on Wednesday Sept 3, 2014.

The student orientation Experience Seneca is taking place this Monday, May 5.
The information session for CLT and AST students will take place in Room S3007, with tours of our labs taking place from 10 am to 12 noon.
The session for RAQ students will take place in room S2148 from 10:40 am to 12 noon.
At 12 noon there will be a free lunch provided in the cafeteria for all who attend.

This Friday, January 24, from 12.30 to 1.30PM on Room S1209, Richard Wiggers (Executive Director, Research and Programs Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario) will be conducting a question and answer session on the current job prospects for Science Graduates. Come and ask your questions to have them answered by an expert!
This lecture is part of the 2014 Inspirational Science Lecture Series, sponsored by the Seneca alumni Pillar Scholarship.
