And with that, our Realms of the Unseen symposium comes to a close.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, listened closely, and engaged so thoughtfully with the ideas shared today.

To our presenters, your work invited us to look beyond the visible, to question what we think we know, and to sit with what cannot always be explained.

A meaningful and memorable day.

With love and solidarity,
The HASA 2025/26 Team ✨

We are delighted to announce our 12th Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium, Realms of the Unseen πŸ”πŸŽ¨

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

This symposium explores what lies beyond immediate perception in art and visual culture. How do artists represent the invisible, the hidden, and the overlooked? How do objects, images, and spaces reveal meanings that are not immediately seen?

From visual symbolism to material traces and unseen narratives, this year’s symposium invites you to consider how art makes the invisible visible and how interpretation reveals deeper layers of meaning.
