At Tyndale, students don’t just earn a degree. They discover their voice.

For alumnus Mike, an author, poet, and caregiver, that journey began in the pages of Canon 25, Tyndale’s student magazine. Many of the poems he wrote as a student later found their way into his first published book, Red Stuff.

Through his writing, Mike explores the tension between darkness and light, holding fast to the hope that truth and faith can coexist with life’s complexities. “There is no truth to be told about the life we live in this world that does not contain some measure of darkness,” he notes. “The truth is both: darkness and light. I am a Christian, so that means that I believe the light will be triumphant in the end.”

Today, he continues to make an impact, serving others as a caregiver and bringing hope to those who need it most.
A Tyndale education equips students to pursue their calling, use their gifts, and make a meaningful difference in the world.

📣 🎉 Tyndale University is pleased to announce that Dr. Janet Clark, Dean Emerita, will be presented with Tyndale University’s Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her exemplary leadership, faithful service, and enduring contribution to theological education and the global church.

Her leadership has been distinguished not only by academic excellence, but by a deep commitment to the formation and flourishing of faculty, staff, and students. Colleagues describe her as a person of wisdom, grace, and integrity, whose steadfast commitment to Christ has shaped both her work and her relationships with others.

The Distinguished Service Award will be presented to Dr. Janet Clark at the Tyndale Seminary 50th Anniversary Celebration Chapel Service on September 22, 2026, where Dr. Clark will be the speaker.

Sending your student to university is a big step, and we want you to know they won’t navigate it alone. We’ve intentionally built a network of support to help students thrive academically, emotionally, spiritually, and personally.

💙 The Centre for Academic Excellence provides academic resources to help students succeed in the classroom.
💙 Counselling Services are available to students at a discounted rate, ensuring accessible support when challenges arise.
💙 The Residence Life Team fosters community, provides mentorship, and walks alongside students as they adjust to campus life.
💙 Campus Security is available to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our campus community.
