Congratulations to Mónica Lesmes, one of our 2026 Animation graduates! 🎓✨

Mónica is an animation artist passionate about storytelling, rigging, and character performance. During her time at MTM, she developed her skills through character design, storyboarding, 2D production, and her short film, About Blooming.

We’re so proud of Mónica’s hard work and excited to see where her creative journey leads next - especially as she continues exploring 2D and 3D rigging.

Congratulations, Mónica! 🌟

What exactly do students learn in Illustration 101?

These images were created by one of our first-year students, Jahsmine Brown, during Scott Cameron’s Design and Composition class.

Students learn the core visual skills that make an image work:
depth of field, composition, leading the eye, rule of thirds, shape language, silhouette, and more.

These are the foundational tools artists use to make their images read clearly, feel intentional, and look strong at the core, no matter the style or subject.

This is the kind of training students receive studying under Scott Cameron, and what you’ll be learning in Illustration 101.

Registration closes Friday, July 3. Don’t miss this amazing online workshop.

What makes attending MTM in person so cool? 👀

Our Anatomy Lab is definitely a good place to start.

Real skeletons, anatomy models, physical reference materials, huge drawing displays, and yes, even a full horse skeleton for anatomy studies and observational drawing.

It’s one of our favourite rooms for a reason. ✨
