The Romanian Students Club is a cultural club representing the Romanian community at the University of Toronto. It organizes various events, from cultural to social events, allowing for the Romanian student body to gather and displays the Romanian culture to anyone interested in learning about it. Romanian Students’ Club is a non-profit student organization at the University of Toronto established
in 1996 for us to get together and get involved in social, cultural and sporting events. Since then, we have been through numerous activities together such as outings to Hart House Farm, camping at Elora Gorge, Romanian Camp near Kitchener, BBQs on Centre Island, meeting with the then president Emil Constantinescu, and nights with Romanian artists such as Nica Petre and Tudor Gheorghe among many others. However, our signature events have remained the annual fall and spring cultural concerts and the Christmas and End-of-the-Year Parties, events where people gather in great attendances to a resounding success. The executive would like to thank all the club’s members for their ongoing support and participation in our events, as well as the Romanian community in Toronto for joining some of our cultural events and giving their generous donations.
