UTSC Improv Improv teams

UTSC Improv, formerly UTSCTV, is UTSC's local comedy group bringing unscripted comedy and laughter to the Leigha Lee Browne Theatre (between the SW & SY buildings). Currently in its 7th year, UTSC Improv has had a range of talented improvisers hit the stage either as a part of the group's own monthly shows or special events held by other campus groups.

Bad News: After 7 years, this group is no more.

Good News: ~The Real UTSC Improv~ is a thriving student group on campus. Check them out for improv fun!

UTSCI is the leading improv club at the University of Toronto Scarborough. In between funnies and make-em-ups, we enjoy long walks on the beach and posing with recently caught fish. Xoxo

We are officially holding auditions for CONSIDER THE OYSTER, our March 2017 Mainstage show!

When Gene breaks his leg after proposing to girlfriend Marisa, he begins to feel some odd changes. It turns out the oyster shell that the doctor left in his leg to assist with his healing is causing him to slowly transition into a female -- just the way an oyster does. Can Gene learn to live his life as a different gender, and will he -- or she -- be able to feel the same for his fiancée? Consider the Oyster is a funny and surprising exploration of gender and our changeable human nature.

Whether you're an aspiring actor, or someone who just wants to give acting a shot, this is an excellent opportunity for you! Auditions are open to ALL UTSC students and will be held on Tuesday, November 8th: 2pm-7pm and Thursday, November 10th: 2pm-7pm in SW335. Please wait in the grey space prior to your audition.

Each audition will be 15 minutes, and will consist of a cold-reading of the script in front of our director, fifth year UTSC theatre student Kaelan Klith. No need for head shots or prepared monologues, just bring your A-game!

To reserve an audition spot, please sign up online at: http://signup.com/go/1zG3P3

Please e-mail any questions/concerns to: [email protected]

We hope to see you there!
