GESSAYorkU The Graduate Environmental Studies Students' Association is the official student association for Mas GESSA is run entirely by student volunteers.

GESSA is the official student association for graduate students in the Faculty of Environmental Studies at York University. The primary work of GESSA is done by the Executive Officers. GESSA supports students by offering funding for expenses incurred through academic research and travel. GESSA advocates for students' rights within the Faculty of Environmental Studies and York University as a whole

. GESSA plans and hosts social events to bring the graduate student body of FES together. We encourage all FES graduate students to get involved in GESSA by attending GESSA general meetings, joining an FES external committee, attending and volunteering for GESSA social events, and applying for the Research & Travel Fund!

The Mentorship Initiative for Indigenous and Planners of Colour (MIIPOC) invites all to join them on June 23, 2021, from 5:30pm-6:30pm EST for the first event of MIIPOC's Words to Power Speaker Series featuring Lena Phillips. To hear and learn more about how Lena draws on her cross-cultural experiences and background in city-building to put equity, anti-racism and decolonization into practice.
