In collaboration with the 2026 Italian Contemporary Film Festival Architettura & Design program, DAS is excited to host one of Italy’s leading contemporary architects for an in-depth session at the TMU Architecture Building (The Pit). As part of the 2026 ICFF lineup, DAS students, faculty, and emerging alumni are welcome for an exclusive masterclass that explores how contemporary design can engage with historically complex sites through precision, restraint, and cultural responsibility.
In this special event, Clemente will discuss her design philosophy and methodology—from conceptual research to built ex*****on. She will share deep insights into Labics’ internationally recognized work, including winning the high-profile international competition for the redevelopment of the Colosseum and Rome’s Imperial Fora—one of the most significant contemporary interventions within a UNESCO World Heritage context. She will also explore her vision of architecture as a mediator between past and present through major projects like Città del Sole, MAST, and the Palazzo dei Diamanti extension.
