HOSA UTSG

HOSA UTSG We equip students with knowledge and skills directly applicable to their future healthcare careers. For the 2013-2014 year, membership exceeded 165,000.

HOSA provides an interactive environment where members can network with peers and mentors. We are centered around offering weekly training sessions where members receive instruction and training relevant to a particular healthcare field. HOSA is also unique in its commitment to tailoring specific training and opportunities for many different health professions. HOSA seeks to nurture a passion for

healthcare by offering access to resources, training and the opportunity for students to compete at a national as well as international level. There are 41 competitive events which cover broad topics ranging from more general knowledge to more focused areas such as pharmacology, dentistry and forensics. HOSA also offers the chance to meet and connect with healthcare professionals featured in one of multiple conferences hosted throughout the year. For students, HOSA represents and opportunity to enhance education, develop leadership skills and acquire insight into the healthcare industry. Established in 1976, HOSA is recognized by the US Office of Education as one of the Career and Technical Student Organizations and is listed on the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) National Advisory List of Contests and Activities. Meet Christopher Adanty – 4th Year PharmD

We’re thrilled to welcome Christopher to tomorrow’s HOSA UTSG Healthcare Professionals Panel!

Christopher is a Doctor of Pharmacy candidate at UofT with a prior MSc in Pharmacology focused on neuropsychopharmacology. His experience includes research at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy and CAMH, and he actively mentors students while leading CASPer preparation seminars.

Meet Shehab Eid – 2nd Year MD

We’re excited to have Shehab joining us at tomorrow’s HOSA UTSG Healthcare Professionals Panel!

After completing his undergraduate degree at UofT Scarborough and earning his PhD at the University of Toronto, Shehab is now in his second year of medical school while continuing to stay involved in teaching. His journey from research to medicine offers a unique perspective on academic and clinical pathways.
