Join Us for Langar Day: Service in the Heart of Campus 🕊️
In honor of the Joti Jot Gurpurab of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Ji, we invite you to embody the spirit of Seva (selfless service).
Guru Sahib spent his life serving those in need, regardless of background or faith, showing us that the highest form of worship is the service of humanity. Let’s carry that legacy forward right here at UofT.
Whether you’re looking to help serve, learn more about the tradition of Langar, or simply share a meal with your peers, we’d love to see you there!

• 📍 Location: Sidney Smith Hall
• ⏰ Time: 11:30 am – 4:00 pm
How to Get Involved
We are looking for volunteers to help with:
• Serving meals to the community
• Handing out pamphlets and explaining the history of Langar
• Setting up and maintaining the space
Come for the Seva, stay for the Sangat. All are welcome!

Feeling the pressure of finals? This is your moment to reset and find your center. For the first time at UofT, we are incredibly blessed to host Giani Dr. Harban Singh (Alwar Wale).
His profound style of Katha and deep spiritual insights remind many of the legendary Sant Singh Ji Maskeen, having been graced with the Seva of performing Katha at Manji Sahib (Amritsar) on numerous occasions.
Dr. Harban Singh brings a wealth of scholarly knowledge to help us navigate student life, holding prestigious qualifications including:
🎓 Ph.D. & M.Phil
🎓 M.A. in Religious Studies, Punjabi, & Hindi
🎓 B.Ed & JRF NET
🗓️ The Plan for Friday, March 27:
📖 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Sukhmani Sahib Paath Join us for a collective prayer for peace and “Man” (mind) steadying. We will be reciting the ‘Jewel of Peace’ to bring focus, calm, and divine support to every student heading into the exam season.
🗣️ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM | Engaging Discussion “Overcoming Academic Stress Through Gurbani” with Giani Dr. Harban Singh. Learn practical ways to maintain Chardi Kala (eternal optimism) amidst the books.
🙏 Special Ardas We will conclude the evening with a heartfelt Ardas specifically for everyone’s exams.

Feeling the pressure of finals? This is the moment to reset.
Join us this Friday for a special session, “Overcoming Academic Stress Through Gurbani,” hosted in collaboration by Basics of Sikhi and . Let’s find resilience, clarity, and Chardi Kala amidst the books.
Here’s the plan:
⏰ 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM: Sukhmani Sahib Path
🗣️ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM: An engaging discussion on applying Gurbani to student life
A very important note:
At the close of the event, we will be doing a special Ardas for everyone’s exams. This is for you, UofT! Please join us to start your finals season with peace, focus, and divine support. everyone is welcome.
