The new Women Students in STEM-Related Fields (WSSF) Bursary is now accepting applications from eligible York University School of Continuing Studies students.

Established through the generous support of Daniel Aquino, President & CEO of Aquicon Construction, this bursary provides $500–$1,500 CAD in financial support to help women students in STEM-related programs navigate unexpected or emergency financial challenges while continuing their education.

Eligible students must demonstrate financial need and be enrolled in one of SCS’s eligible STEM-related programs.

Digital Marketing graduate , returned to York University School of Continuing Studies this summer—not for more classes, but as a guest speaker!

Simran led our recent vibe-coding workshop in partnership with .dev helping students build their own portfolios and personal branded websites as they prepare to launch their careers.

For Simran, being back at SCS and helping students navigate the same early-career journey she once experienced was an emotional and rewarding full-circle moment.

Students at the York University School of Continuing Studies recently put vibe coding into practice during a hands-on workshop held in partnership with Lovable.

Students used AI-powered tools to create their own personal portfolio websites—bringing their skills, experience and personal brands together in a website they built themselves.

From idea to live website, the workshop showed how emerging technology can help turn a creative vision into something real.

As Canadian employers respond to an aging workforce, rising disability claims and increasingly complex workplace accommodation needs, disability management has become an essential function for supporting employee well-being and organizational success.

To help address the growing demand for qualified professionals, the York University School of Continuing Studies has launched the Certificate in Disability Case Management.

Developed in collaboration with industry experts, the new program equips learners with the foundational theory, practical knowledge and applied experience needed to support employees through disability-related workplace transitions while helping organizations coordinate safe, effective and sustainable return-to-work outcomes.

The first cohort begins in January 2027. Read more about the new Certificate in Disability Management in our announcement below!
