Since 1969, Medix College has supported generations of students as they prepare for careers that contribute to Ontario’s healthcare system 🩺✨

Behind every classroom, lab, and program is a student working toward a better future. They are training to become Personal Support Workers, Massage Therapists, Dental Assistants, and Medical Laboratory Technicians/Assistants who will serve patients, families, and communities across the province.

Delays in OSAP funding are putting their education, financial stability, and career plans at risk. Students who have already dedicated their time, energy, and resources to their training deserve the opportunity to continue.

We are calling on the Ontario government to resolve this situation and restore funding for current students. Medix College stands with our students and will keep speaking up for their education and their futures.

For over 50 years, Medix College has been committed to providing quality education and helping students build meaningful careers in healthcare.

Our students are real people pursuing real careers. They are our future Personal Support Workers, Massage Therapists, Dental Assistants, and Medical Laboratory Technicians/Assistants individuals preparing to make a meaningful difference in our communities and healthcare system.

The ongoing delay in OSAP funding has created significant uncertainty for our students, their families, and our institution. Our students have worked too hard and invested too much in their futures to be left in uncertainty.

We urge the Ontario government to act quickly to restore funding to our current students.

Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and we will continue to advocate for their futures 🩺✨

Some students know they want healthcare, but they also know they do not want a path built primarily around lectures and theory.

Dental Assisting can appeal to students who prefer an active environment, enjoy working with people, and want to develop practical skills they can see themselves using in a dental setting.

Medix College’s Dental Assisting program combines theory with hands-on training and is offered at our Toronto, Scarborough and Brampton campuses.

Yesterday, our Massage Therapy students were at Nathan Phillips Square, providing massages in support of the 9th Annual Indigenous Legacy Gathering, organized by Toronto Council Fire Native Cultural Centre.

The gathering honoured residential school survivors, their families and communities, while celebrating Indigenous cultures, traditions and resilience. We’re incredibly grateful to be part of this meaningful event.

Our Massage Therapy Student Clinics in Toronto and Brampton offer the community an opportunity to experience student-provided care in a supervised learning environment. Each appointment gives our students valuable hands-on experience as they continue developing their techniques and confidence, while clients enjoy a massage at our student clinic.

Today, we recognize the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

We honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry their impacts. Across Medix College, North American Trade Schools and CCG Real Estate, we recognize the importance of listening, learning and reflecting on the history and ongoing effects of residential schools.

May we carry that learning forward through continued respect, understanding and action.
