Born out of an increasing demand for professional development projects, the primary aim of arc.soc is to provide students of the Architectural Science Department with increasing opportunities to participate in not only the design of projects but to actually see their designs come together. This society will help support students both financially, and academically with furthering their education with design build projects, competitions, and events beyond the limits of Ryerson University.

Make your mark on the DAS community! Arc.Soc is inviting students to collaborate with an Indigenous artist to design and paint a mural in the 4th floor kitchenette. This project allows student to celebrate indigenous culture and storytelling through transforming a shared space into something meaningful and long-lasting.

Architecture competitions are a great way to diversify your portfolio, applying your skills to new projects, and receiving awards and recognition!

Arc.Soc is here to remind you that all competition entry fees are reimbursable through arc-soc.ca! If you take part in a competition, check out our website and follow the steps to complete reimbursement!

arc.soc invited students to design a custom wall applique for the bar outside our new student lounge — and now it’s time to choose the winner!

Take a look at the submissions and vote for the design you’d most like to see brought to life. The winning piece will be built using workshop resources and become a permanent part of the space.
