HEY GRADS!!!!! Opportunity for recent alumni here!

"I am writing to you today because we are looking for an opportunity to have a bilingual (French-English) mentee work with us through the CMPA mentorship program for diverse producers and I'm reaching out to see if any recent BIPOC graduate of yours could be interested in this opportunity.

Our bilingual production company based in the GTA is still young, we have been around for two years, but we are also growing much faster than we thought we would. Our first short format series Hogtown" was released last year on TV5 & TFO platforms, in 2021. The series has been showcased in more than 15 international festivals, won 6 awards and we have just been greenlit for a season 2 which will be shot in the spring of 2023. But we also have 3 or 4 other projects of different formats lined up for production in the next year so there is a real opportunity, for the right candidate, to grow within our company and work on a variety of projects including TV series, documentaries, feature films, youth content, etc. Our objective is that the person who comes on board for this mentorship could then possibly join our team as a production manager or junior producer. We require bilingual candidates due to the nature of our work which is 70% French and 30% English at the moment."

It pushes you to become more than just a one-trick pony. You are a creative storyteller, a business person, a financial wizard. “I often jokingly like to refer to the 8-month program as a crash course in everything you need to know about the business of the Canadian screen-based media industry. The instructors are some of the best in the industry and they equipped us with the skills and knowledge to take on any challenges we may face in the ever-changing media landscape.”
