🔘WHAT: The purpose is for upper year premed students with extensive knowledge on the medical school application process guide premed students just beginning their premed journey. Mentees will be able to connect and ask advice from knowledgeable upper-year students who have experience with research, extracurriculars, MCAT, Casper, and other components essential for getting into medical school. Mentors will be matched to mentees according to specific needs. You will be able to contact your mentor whenever you need for any questions you might have, as well as schedule 1-on-1 meetings through Zoom or Google Hangouts.
🔘WHEN: This is a semester long program - January- April 2022. Mentor Applications are due by: JANUARY 31, 2022 by 11:59 pm!
🔘HOW: To become a mentor, you must to go through an application process in which only successful candidates will receive an interview. To become a mentor you must be at least in your second year. Mentors who are selected must go through several training sessions so you are informed of your responsibilities as a mentor.
🔘Note: Mentors will receive a certificate outlining your hard work and participation along with volunteer hours through the Pre-Medical Association's YUConnect page.
