The young and the bold. Meet three of this year’s TMU Alumni Rising Stars honourees and find out what drives them

At TMU, innovation shows up in different ways. For Ben Canning (Business Management ’18), it’s tackling food insecurity head-on through Arctic Acres Inc., using modular domes to fight food insecurity and providing housing with modular domes.

For Kritika Vashishtha (Aerospace Engineering PhD ’24), it’s a journey from solving jet lag to advancing biomedical research that explores how diet, genetics and gut health shape aging and disease risk.

And for Adham El-Khadem (Master of Engineering Innovation and Entrepreneurship ’21), it’s rethinking how we gather. As founder and CEO of Venu, he’s connecting people to spaces that bring communities together to celebrate, collaborate and connect.

Different paths taken, all sharing immense drive and creating real-world impact.

From fighting food insecurity to revolutionizing event planning, these three TMU grads are making their mark
