Today April 23rd we celebrate the Spanish Language Day around the world. Students from the Spanish Program Estudios Hispánicos - Glendon at and from the Lycée Français Toronto created this exhibition honoring the language spoken by more than 580 million people in the world. ¡Viva el español!

Sonia Platnick, a student in the Spanish Program at Estudios Hispánicos - Glendon talks about her artistic recreation of Julio Romero's La chiquita piconera (1930). She critiques the ideals of feminine beauty. This is part of the exhibition Re-Conceptuallizing Pasts, Presents, and Futures coordinated by Professor Shanna Lino.
