To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.
Islamophobia, xenophobia, and hateful rhetoric of any kind, has no place in this world. Yet, three men were martyred for simply being Muslim. These men had families, children, friends, and were beloved by the entire community. Allah SWT called them back to Him on the first day of the holy month of Dhul Hijjah.
We are immensely saddened by the tragedies that unfolded at the Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD) on May 18th and we stand in solidarity with the victims and the ICSD community. During these blessed days of Dhul Hijjah, we urge you to keep the martyrs and their loved ones in your prayers and dua’a (supplications). As an act of sadaqah, we also encourage you to donate to the relief funds found in our bio.
We ask Allah SWT to grant the martyrs the highest levels of Jannatul Firdaus and to bring ease and closure to their loved ones.
Surah Al-Imran (169-170):
“Never think of those martyred in the cause of Allah as dead. In fact, they are alive with their Lord, well provided for. Rejoicing in Allah’s bounties and being delighted for those yet to join them. There will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.”
