Another long weekend is just around the corner. 🍂 🌤️

To mark the Labour Day long weekend, Seneca Polytechnic will be closed from the end of business day on Friday, Sept. 4, to the reopening on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

As part of the closure, the following resources will not be available from Saturday, Sept. 5 to Monday, Sept. 7:

Faculty of Continuing Education programs
Athletics & Recreation facilities
In-person and virtual Seneca Libraries services
In-person support at The Service Hub

We'll see you for the first day of the classes of the Fall term on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

Congratulations to the first graduating class of the Youth Community Academy! 🎓

At a graduation ceremony held at our Newnham Campus, 40 Toronto high school students were recognized for successfully completing this new experiential learning program. Over the past eight weeks, the students explored careers in policing and firefighting while building valuable leadership and teamwork skills.

To our new graduates, we are of all you achieved this summer. Best of luck in the upcoming school year and we look forward to seeing all that you accomplish next.

Can you imagine getting over 2 million views on your student project? 🐱✨

This is what happened to recent Seneca Animation graduates Jen Nguyen and Mary Ramos. "Next Friday: Magical Meow Meow" follows Salem, a magical cat-girl balancing school, sisterly chaos and a quest to defeat her nemesis.

Inspired by 2000s-era favourites like *My Little Pony* and *Sailor Moon*, the pilot has captured audiences around the world — especially young girls who see themselves in Salem. 💫

Now, the co-directors hope to turn their hit pilot into a full series.

A Seneca alumna just took home gold at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. 🥇

Sheriauna Haase, a recent graduate of our Acting for Camera & Voice program, won the women's 100-metre T47 final, outrunning a talented field of athletes to claim the top spot on the podium.

Well done, Sheri. You've made us on the world stage!
