April 20th, 2020

Dear NSTU Staff and Members,

On behalf of the NSCCAU Executive Team and our members, we would like to express our deepest condolences on the loss of NSTU member Lisa McCully. We understand from her colleagues and students at Debert Elementary and from her family and friends, that she was a passionate teacher and an inspiration to those who knew her.

Having shared a history together for more than 20 years with the NSTU, the NSCCAU is deeply united in the loss that the entire NSTU is feeling. It is our hope that the outpouring of respect, admiration and affection brings you some comfort. These expressions of love and praise is a testament that Lisa will be sorely missed by family, professional colleagues, students and the greater community.

Our thoughts are with you and your membership at this most difficulty time.

With heartfelt sympathy,

The Executive of the NSCC Academic Union (NSCCAU)

On behalf of the Faculty and Professional Support Conference (FAPSC) Organizing Committee I am announcing the postponement of FAPSC at this time.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the college has cancelled all events at campuses. Perhaps we can organize something late August, or virtually in the fall. These are different times and too many unknowns at this point to plan. We will keep you posted when we know what those plans are.
Thank you to the committee members: Beth Easson, Vicki Paddick and Sharla Rolfe-Hunter for you all your hard work.

Thanks to the folks that offered to present and we will be touch. Stay safe.
