Last week, leaders in agriculture from across Atlantic Canada came together at Dalhousie Agricultural Campus for a two-day Occupational Skills Analysis Workshop focused on the future of Precision and Digital Agriculture.

The workshop brought together representatives from industry, government, and agriculture organizations to explore the skills needed for the next generation of careers in precision technology and digital tools and the emerging workforce needs across the sector. Discussions also explored opportunities for new short courses and micro-credentials that can help support industry training and workforce development.

We were pleased to welcome the Canadian Agricultural Human Resources Council as they continue expanding their work in labour market information and workforce development in Atlantic Canada.

It was a great opportunity to connect with partners from across the region, share ideas, and continue building momentum around innovation and leadership in Precision and Digital Agriculture.
