What do we want from AI?
As 2026 advances, we must recognize that AI is no longer a novel experiment on the edge of the digital economy; it is deeply embedded in the infrastructure of everyday life.
The question “What do we want from AI?” is therefore less about speculative futures and more about aligning today’s systems with public expectations of fairness, safety and human dignity.
